Registration is not required if you only want to view forum content. Registration is required if you want to post information on the BanjoBandits website.
Creating a Hyperlink in your message
At the moment, it’s not possible to create a hyperlink in your message. As soon as BuddyPress finds a stable platform for Rich Text and Hyperlinks, we will be updating the site.
Moderators
Moderators control individual Groups. Among other things they may edit, delete, or hide any posts.
Cookies
This webiste uses cookies to store information about your membership status, to make the site functional. These cookies are stored on your hard drive. Cookies are not used to track your movement or perform any function other than to enhance your use of these forums. If you have disabled cookies in your browser, you will not be able to log into your account properly.
Active Groups
Active Groups are tracked by cookies. When you click on the “Groups” link, you can enter and/or join/leave any group.
Chat Room
There are two Chat Rooms on BanjoBandits.com. There is the General Chat which is available for all Members to view. To participate in a Private Chat, choose the New Chat function and then choose the function “Share With No One”. From there you can choose which Member or Members you want to chat with from the “# People Here” menu on the bottom right. Grab the Avatar of the Member or Members you with to chat with and drag them to your New Chat.
Editing Posts
You may edit or delete any of your posting for a limited time after you post. If you are the original poster of a topic, you may edit your topic it any time. To edit a post, just go to the Group where the post to be edited or deleted is located and you will see a edit or delete icon next to your entry. A note is generated at the bottom of each edited post displaying when and by whom the post was edited.
Attaching Files
To attach a file to a post, click the ‘Add Attachments’ link when composing. You may attach photos, videos, text files and PDF files to your post.
Uploading MP3′s
To upload mp3′s into your group, click on the “Document” tab above the text field. From there, you can choose the location of the mp3 on your hard drive. You can add a title and message to the mp3 for others in your group to see. The mp3 will be automatically converted into a mp3 player.
Searching For Specific Posts
You may search for specific posts based on words found in the posts, and whether the post is archived or active. Just enter your search string in the search box at the top-right of all site pages.
Editing Your Profile
You may easily change any information stored in your registration profile by using the “edit profile” link located when you click the link of your own name, taking you to your profile page. You may edit any profile information except your Username. Contact the site administrator (kelly.griner@anotherpint.com) to have your username changed.
Censoring Posts
We reserve the right to censor any post that is found to contain the following: Personal Attacks, Profanity, Adult Content/Pornography, Links Only Posts, and Political and/or Religious Topics.
Lost Password
To change your password just visit your Profile page and click on the link “Lost Password”. This will email you a link which you can click to reset your password. If your email account is no longer valid you will need to contact the site administrator (kelly.griner@anotherpint.com) to request a password reset.
Can I be notified by e-mail when there are new posts?
Yes, you can subscribe to receive emails on any Group that you belong to by checking the “Get Email Updates” link on any Group Homepage you choose.
